Dragon’s Dogma 2 director Hideaki Itsuno confirms via X that the game will have an uncapped frame rate and won’t be locked to only 30 fps. With just a month left for its release, the previous claim regarding Dragon’s Dogma 2 to be capped at 30 fps max has been addressed by the game director.

Hideaki Itsuno confirmed on X that it was just a rumor and that the game would be released with an uncapped frame rate. Fans already had high hopes for this to be true because of the 60 fps gameplay trailer for PC. However, the question still remains for handheld consoles. When asked by a fan that consoles will have an uncapped frame rate as well, Itsuno just liked their tweet which might be the affirmation fans need.
On consoles too?

There are still a lot of issues that the game developers have to address including the annoying save system. In the same statement where the frame rate cap rumor was released, it was said that Dragon’s Dogma 2 will only have a single save slot, and autosaves will write over the current progress. Therefore you won’t be able to enjoy multiple characters and lose your progress if you fail to save.
This rumor is yet to be addressed and with just a month left for its release, the devs should make a statement soon.
Dragon’s Dogma 2 will release on March 22 for multiple platforms including PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X and Series S.
